# Sign in

> Access to the Horizon Audit dashboard is by invitation. You sign in with the email and the password of your account.

Access to the dashboard is by invitation. There is no way to sign up by yourself. You sign in with the email and the password of your account.

## Get access

Write to contact@horizonanalyticslabs.com to ask for access. Our team creates your account. Your account belongs to one organisation. You see the submissions, the tasks and the results of that organisation only.

## Sign in

The first screen of the dashboard is "Sign in". It has two fields and one button.

1. Enter your email in the "Email" field.
2. Enter your password in the "Password" field. The "Show password" control shows what you typed. The "Hide password" control hides it again.
3. Choose "Sign in".

After you sign in, the dashboard opens on "Submissions". See [submissions](/docs/dashboard/submissions).

## Messages on the sign-in screen

The screen checks both fields before it sends them.

| Message                      | When you see it                                        |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Email is required.           | The "Email" field is empty.                            |
| Enter a valid email address. | The text in the "Email" field is not an email address. |
| Password is required.        | The "Password" field is empty.                         |

A wrong email and a wrong password give the same message. The dashboard does not say which of the two is wrong.

## Sign out

1. Choose "Sign out".
2. A dialog asks "Sign out?". It says: "You'll need to sign in again to access the dashboard."
3. Choose "Sign out" to confirm, or "Cancel" to stay signed in.

When you sign out, your session ends. To use the dashboard again, sign in again.

## What you see after you sign in

The menu of the dashboard has two entries for you.

| Entry           | What it opens                                                             |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Submissions     | Every archive your organisation has sent, newest first.                   |
| Intake standard | What every task must hold before it is audited, with the line for a miss. |

You can read "Intake standard" before you send your first task.

## When you cannot sign in

Check these things first:

- The email is the one your account was made for.
- The password has no extra space at its start or at its end.

If you still cannot sign in, write to contact@horizonanalyticslabs.com. Say which email you use. Do not put your password in the message.

## Pages you cannot open

A page that does not exist shows "Page not found". Choose "Go back" or "Back to home" to return.
